In November of 1987, Melvin T. Morgan Roofing & Sheet Metal Co., Inc. was founded in Lynchburg, Virginia with a commitment to quality craftsmanship, honest service, and faith-driven values. From the beginning, our focus on high-quality customer service and dependable roofing solutions has been the foundation of our long-term success.

Before starting the company, Melvin T. Morgan Jr. served as Superintendent and Vice President at John T. Morgan Roofing Co. His wife, Deborah Morgan, was working as a Registered Nurse at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Together, they made the courageous decision to leave their careers and build a roofing company rooted in integrity, hard work, and trust.
Just one week after leaving employment, Melvin T. Morgan Jr. received payment for the company’s first completed roofing project. In November 1987, the first company truck was purchased — marking the beginning of a roofing company that would continue to grow steadily across Central Virginia.
